Description

(Important! This drawing will be part of an exhibition from 1/1 until 3/31 at Deco Gallery on the 7th Floor of Shinkong Mitsukoshi Taichung Zhonggang Store. It will be available to collect after this exhibition has finished)

Every era of Tokyo's history is present in this intricate drawing of the city. It centers on the busy historic Tokyo Station in the heart of the Marunouchi Business District. To the west the skyscrapers contrast with the spacious parkland of the Imperial Palace as a royal procession leaves the gates.

歴史ある皇居外苑から、都会の現代的なオフィスタワーまで、東京のすべての年代がこの絵には描かれています。丸の内エリアの歴史的建造物である東京駅（よく見ると新幹線や山手線の電車が到着しているのが見えます）に焦点を当てました。西側には、皇居外苑と趣のある庭園が見えます。遠くには、日本橋と銀座エリアが見えます。2018年に東京を訪れた時から、このエリアをいつか描きたいと思っていましたが、どのような描き方がベストであるか長い間悩んでいました。平面に描くと、高層ビル群が邪魔をして駅全体を描けないため、現在の球体で描くアイディアに至りました。

Drawn in fineliner pen with archival inks on a thick watercolor paper chosen to give a similar appearance to canvas. The paper is acid free so be aware that it's not brilliant white (this is so it doesn't decay).

The drawing has been treated with a fixative to prevent the small amount of pencil used for some texture fading. There is a print series. The only difference between the two is I added some more buildings to this one after scanning to give a bit more contrast between the city and the palace park.

キャンバスに似た質感を与えるために、厚手の水彩紙に、防色性の高い細書きペンで描きました。こちらの水彩紙は無酸性を使用しております。よって、原紙の色は純白ではございません。ペンの退色を防ぐために、原画は修正剤で処理されています。原画のプリント版も購入可能です。原画とプリント版の違いは、プリント版を作成した後に、原画には建物を追加しました。市街地と皇居の間に、より強いコントラストを与えるために、原画の周りに高層ビルを書き足しました。

The paper measures 78 x 78 cm currently but will be trimmed a little for framing. Framing and delivery within Taiwan is included. If you are outside of Taiwan postage is included (insured via Fedex). Sending framed pieces internationally is possible but you will need to contact me for a quote. I can post fairly easily to Japan!

紙の大きさは78 x 78 cmですが、フレーム用に少し切り詰められています。台湾国内への送料とフレーム代金が含まれています。台湾国外への発送の場合、送料のみが含まれています（Fedexによる保険付き）。フレーム付きで国際郵便をすることも可能ですが、まずは見積もりのためにご連絡をください。
