*** IMPORTANT NOTE *** :
I’m currently in England as my father is very unwell. I do not know how long I will be here for. Shutting everything down again for months is not an option so I have found a quality art printer here and can send items to Taiwan and elsewhere. It will take a little bit longer than usual to post items but they should take about 2-2.5 weeks in total from order to arrival. I can’t offer canvas printing at this time, but fine art paper is possible. If you have any questions please don’t hesitate to ask. Please note that shipping within the UK is now free (so select a free option at checkout even if the option says Taiwan). I will keep shipping to Taiwan free for now also. Thanks for your understanding.
Dragonflies is the largest of the insect series so far and is a sprawling 1930's metropolis spread across eight dragonflies. The architecture is inspired by New York and Detroit, with some real buildings from the early 20th century appearing from these cities too. The buildings are detailed and accented a little with color. Railways wind around the structures and sometimes through them and there are several busy port areas. The streets roughly follow the patterns of the dragonfly wings.
There's an in-depth explanation of how this series came to be and what it means on this page: https://www.tomrookart.com/insect-series-homepage
This is the second print of a series of two, the original and first print having both been sold. The original drawing was a finalist in the International Artist Prize at Art Revolution Taipei. It will be printed on thick, high quality 310gsm archival art paper with fade-proof inks. The print measures 99 x 65 cm including a 1cm border. It will be both signed and numbered. Domestic shipping is included in the price.
If you'd prefer canvas or some slightly different sizing that can be arranged.
