Locust is an imagined city based on New York circa 1910. The city was full of extremely narrow and ornate buildings in those days. A couple of towers like the Gillender Building might be recognizable if you've spent a huge amount of time looking at old NYC photos. The locust was drawn from photos of one I found during a hike here in Taiwan.
This is an original framed pen drawing with an ink paint background. Check out some of the others in the Insect Series here: http://www.overthecity.asia/gallery and the video here explains a bit behind the series: https://www.facebook.com/watch/?v=2316811511953467 . The other originals in the insect series have sold (apart from Hornets which will be available in November) but I will be making a few new ones over the next year!
The dimensions are H 68cm and W 51cm , including the frame
Two prints will be made from this. One will be available in November at my exhibition in Urbn Culture and one at the British Office in 2021.
International postage is possible with this one. I'd estimate that it'd be 1000nt. Please note a lot of air routes are closed due to Covid-19 so at the moment I can only post to N America, Western Europe and Australia. Price includes domestic postage.
