Description
Old Tainan is one of the largest drawings I've ever made at about 160 by 110 cm (165 x 115 incl frame) . As I'm not going to have an exhibition over this winter I've decided to list it here in the meantime.
I compiled it from hundreds of old photos of the city and present day walks through the alleys. It's probably the drawing that pushed me closest to madness out of all of them! I had to take a break from it for a year as I ran out of archival material.
It's drawn on watercolor paper in pencil. A fixative has been applied to prevent fading and discoloration.
I'd like to get the drawing re-framed to reduce the joining lines. The drawing also needs flattening a little (in certain light there's a slight waviness to the paper due to the drawing size). I'm happy to work with the buyer to re-frame it in a style they like for free. I will also include the cost of transporting it in the price.
Price is inclusive of transport within Taiwan and I can help organize that.
Please note the drawing was created on 4 sheets of paper. They fit together quite well but a joining line will be visible.
